Roy A. Walters

Vice President of Research and Development at Ocean Optics, Inc.

Roy A. Walters earned his PhD in engineering physics at the University of Florida. He has extensive experience in the analysis of high-temperature plasmas and the development of instrumentation for their measurement. As a faculty member at the university of Central Florida, he helped found CREOL. He was one of the founders of Ocean Optics and has received awards for the development of the miniature fiber optic spectrometer and recently for the development of the broadband high-resolution spectrometer for LIBS.
